Shopping & Sunbathing in St Barthélemy
The next day, I was awoken once again by the dropping of the anchor. Instead of feeling filled with irritation, I threw open the curtains immediately, greatly anticipating the new view. The sun shone through our balcony window as I laid eyes on St Barthélemy or St Barth for short. I noticed that this time we weren't docked on the pier but instead bobbed quite far out of the port, surrounded by superyachts. It was certainly very different from the first island we visited, Tortola. A bright orange tender transported us towards the port. Turquoise waves lapped at the side of the tender. In the near distance, hills loomed, dressed with tropical trees and exotic villas. We passed yacht after yacht but none were as large as our cruise, although one was not too much smaller.
